From Fantasy to WorkshopÂ
The name Arcane Woodcrafts wasn't chosen at random. It comes from a lifelong love of fantasy and sci-fi, whether that's a novel, a tabletop campaign, or a game that kept you up way past a reasonable hour. The word arcane felt right for another reason too. Something arcane is esoteric, known only to a few, and there's something fitting about that when it comes to the kind of bespoke handcrafted work that you simply can't walk into a store and find. Many of the earliest pieces made in this shop were born from that world, accessories for the game table that no store carried, from custom dice trays and game organizers to puzzle boards that made the hobby richer and more immersive.
Every category at Arcane Woodcrafts exists because it's something that was needed or wanted, personally or by friends and family. A love of cooking led to the kitchen items, because if you're going to spend time in the kitchen you should have tools that are a pleasure to use. A turning class led to a passion for the lathe and a custom pen that's never far from hand. That passion for turning naturally led to experimenting with resin blanks, and from there to hybrid wood and resin pieces that capture the beauty of both materials.
Friends and family requesting custom signs created a category that I had never considered. When the need to organize a growing collection of tools, games, and shop supplies became obvious, building the solution was more satisfying than buying one.
A game accessory that didn't exist in quite the right form, a kitchen tool sized just right, a special sign, these are the conversations that built the shop and still drive it today. They are what keeps the shop running, the lathe spinning, and what makes every piece worth making. The name might be fantasy, but the craftsmanship is very real.
